Have you noticed that platforms like Instagram and Facebook are quickly changing over to video content? Wildlife photographers are now becoming curious about shooting video on their DSLR or mirrorless cameras and many have never used the video features and have no idea where to start. Sound familiar? Join Alison Kondler, Master Birder and wildlife filmmaker on this unique video workshop in the field. 

What: On this trip, you will learn the proper camera settings to get smooth and focused videos of birds and other wildlife. 

Location: This field trip will take place in Lakewood, Colorado on an easy 2-mile walk. The exact map and location will be emailed to registered guests the evening prior to the trip. Beginner to expert birders welcome. 

What to bring: DSLR or mirrorless camera, extra batteries, telephoto lens 200mm or higher, and a sturdy tripod. Recommended accessories, but not required: Neutral density filter, external monitor, external microphone. 

Leader’s backstory: Alison is a wildlife photographer turned videographer. In 2015, she went back to school to study videography, animation, and editing and graduated in 2017. Now owner and operator of A Video Design LLC a Colorado-based video production company specializing in social media content. In 2020 she started creating social media educational video content all about birds on Instagram Reels and TikTok as her passion project @birding_by_ear. 

$55 per person. Cancelation or no-shows will not be refunded. If the host cancels for whatever reason you will receive your money back in full. Registration is open until 6-24-2022.  Beginners to experts welcome. Invest in education.
